Clinique Loyalty Program FAQ
If you love glowing skin and irresistible makeup, Clinique Smart Rewards is a way to enjoy more of what you love. Your smart beauty perks start the moment you join with 10% off your first purchase. The more points you collect, the more we shower you with rewards—exclusive gifts, treats and experiences custom-fit for your skin, your needs, your heart’s desires.
You can join Clinique Smart Rewards by signing up at clinique.com.au/smartrewards and following the prompts to register. In order to sign up, you must provide your name and email address, create a password and accept the Terms and Conditions of the Clinique Smart Rewards Loyalty Program, the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy of the website. There is no cost to join.
The Clinique Smart Rewards Loyalty Program is available to individuals who are legal residents of Australia and at least 18 years of age and who provide and maintain a valid email address. Employees of The Estée Lauder Companies and individuals employed by our business partners or vendors are eligible for membership for personal use only, but may be excluded from certain program benefits in our sole but reasonable discretion. The Clinique Smart Rewards Loyalty Program may not be used for any business or commercial purpose and we may refuse to create an account for any such reason.
By becoming a Clinique Smart Rewards member, you agree that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Clinique Smart Rewards Terms and Conditions of Participation and by the website Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy (as may be modified in accordance with the terms of those documents).

Clinique Smart Rewards is a loyalty program that rewards customers for purchasing Clinique products and participating in pre-defined brand experiences on clinique.com.au. It is a tier-based program determined by the number of points a member has earned within a single year on eligible purchases and through qualifying activities, beginning on the date when you enroll. There are 3 tiers with associated benefits:
- Tier 1, Smart 0 – 199 points
- Tier 2, Brilliant 200 – 399 points
- Tier 3, Genius 400+ points
When you join, you’ll automatically be placed in Tier 1, Smart and be eligible for all the benefits Tier 1, Smart members receive. Once you earn at least 200 points in your first year, you’ll be automatically moved up to Tier 2, Brilliant. If you earn 400 points or more in your first year, you’ll qualify for Tier 3, Genius.
Your status in a particular tier is good for the remainder of the year in which you first qualify for that tier and for the following full year. After that, you’ll need to earn enough points to qualify for a particular tier each year. For example, if you qualify for Tier 2, Brilliant, in your first year, you’ll move from Tier 1, Smart to Tier 2, Brilliant for the remainder of your first year and will retain Tier 2, Brilliant status during your entire second year. But, if you earn less than 200 points on eligible purchases during your second year, you’ll drop back down to Tier 1, Smart status on your second anniversary date.
The higher the tier, the better the benefits.
As a member, you earn points that determine your points benefits plus your tier status and tier benefits.
Points Benefits: At different point levels, you will be able to redeem your points for rewards that can be used in conjunction with a purchase on clinique.com.au. These rewards are based on the total number of points you have accumulated in a single year as listed below. You may redeem one reward per transaction on clinique.com.au. You must redeem your available points prior to your anniversary date, or the available rewards will expire. On your anniversary date, your points reset to 0 and you start accumulating new points and earning new rewards.
- Free deluxe sample with purchase (valid at 180 points)
- AU$15 discount with minimum spend of AU$16 (valid at 250 points)
- Free full-size product (valued from AU$34) with purchase (valid at 350 points)
- AU$30 discount with minimum spend of AU$31 (valid at 450 points)
- Free full-size product (valued from AU$50) with purchase (valid at 550 points)
Tier Benefits: Certain benefits are based on tier achieved and you are eligible for these benefits while you are in that tier regardless of the number of points you currently have. Tier benefits can only be redeemed on clinique.com.au with the exception of exclusive invitations to in-store member events and VIP events or as otherwise noted. On your anniversary date, even though your points reset to zero, your initial tier status for the year is determined by the total number of points you earned in the prior year.

To earn points, you must be enrolled in the Clinique Smart Rewards Loyalty Program and be signed into your account at the time of purchase. Clinique Smart Rewards members receive 1 point for every AU$1 spent on eligible purchases at clinique.com.au.* Eligible purchases include regular priced merchandise and exclude sale or promotional items, gift cards, applicable taxes, fees, discounts, and delivery charges, and/or other excluded charges specified by us from time-to-time.
Currently, Clinique Smart Rewards Loyalty Program is only for purchases made on clinique.com.au. Members will not receive points or benefits from purchases made at department stores, specialty stores pureplay stores, airport stores or retail stores – even if they are stores owned by us. Purchases made outside of Australia are also not eligible for Clinique Smart Rewards Loyalty Program. If this changes, we will update our Clinique Smart Rewards: Terms and Conditions of Participation and inform you accordingly.
In addition to these purchases, here are more ways to earn points at clinique.com.au**:
- Earn 10 points for enrolling in the Clinique Smart Rewards Loyalty Program (one time only).
- Earn 10 points for updating your account profile (one time only).
- Earn 10 points for completing your skin analysis with Clinical Reality (maximum 12 times per year)
- Earn 15 points for writing a review and get published (maximum 4 eligible reviews per year, only 1 review per product per month is eligible).
*All points are pending until your order ships, at which time they are fully matured.
**To earn points, please check to make sure you are a Clinique Smart Rewards member and you have logged into your account before completing the actions above.
When you redeem your points for product rewards, the available points in your account will decrease based on the amount of points you redeemed.
Points are valid for one year from your Clinique Smart Rewards “anniversary date” (this is the anniversary of the date you enrolled in the Clinique Smart Rewards Loyalty Program and it occurs on a 12-month cycle). On your anniversary date each year, your available points expire and reset to zero and you start accumulating new points to redeem for new rewards.
On your anniversary date, even though your points reset to zero, your tier status is determined by the number of points accumulated in the immediately preceding year.
Your points may have also disappeared if we have excluded you from or discontinued your participation in the Clinique Smart Rewards Loyalty Program. When contacting our Customer Service team, please specify your name and email address associated with the Program, the date of the Program activity, and the issue(s) you encountered. Your enquiry must be sent no more than forty-five (45) days after the date the purchase or other Program activity took place. We are not responsible for late notifications after this time about purchases or other Program activities not being credited to your Program account.
This is the anniversary of the date when you enrolled in the Clinique Smart Rewards Loyalty Program, and it occurs on a 12-month cycle. For example, if you joined Clinique Smart Rewards on November 15, 2016, your anniversary date would be November 15, 2017, and every November 15 of each year thereafter.
Your anniversary date is shown in your Clinique Smart Rewards account page.
In year one of your Clinique Smart Rewards membership, your tier status is determined by the points you accumulate during that first year. After year one on your anniversary date, your points reset to zero, and you can start earning points benefits again. While your points decrease when you redeem them for points benefits and reset each year on your anniversary date, your initial tier status for the year is determined by the points you accumulated during the prior year of membership, and you are eligible for those tier benefits regardless of the number of points you have.
You can check your Clinique Smart Rewards account status by visiting your account online at clinique.com.au where you can track your current points, tier and available benefits. All points are pending until your order ships, at which time they are fully vested and capable of redemption.
It may take up to seven (7) days from the time your order ships for points for eligible purchases to post to your account. It may also take up to seven (7) days for points for other Clinique Smart Rewards activities to post to your account. Any product that is returned or any order that is cancelled will reverse the points you received from that purchase. If you moved up to a new tier on that order, your tier will also be adjusted accordingly.
If it is found that an order is obtained through fraudulent or other activity that violates the Clinique Smart Rewards: Terms and Conditions of Participation, those accumulated points and your change in tier status, if applicable, will also be reversed.
Your Clinique Smart Rewards offers and rewards can be redeemed on clinique.com.au. You will find your eligible offers and rewards (with offer codes if applicable) listed in your personal account. Qualifying members may receive email invitations from time to time when event rewards are available if they have consented to receiving such communication and have not opted-out of receiving Clinique Smart Rewards Loyalty Program emails.
Rewards can only be redeemed when making a purchase on clinique.com.au unless specified in special online events, in-store member events, and VIP member events. You must be logged in to your Clinique Smart Rewards account to use your benefits. Product rewards and samples are shipped with product purchases ONLY. Points may never be redeemed for cash.
Offers and rewards are available while supplies last and substitutions made by us in our sole discretion may occur. If your online order is not completed for any reason, any offers or rewards will be removed from your shopping basket and may no longer be available. You are not required to redeem points. During the month of your birthday, you can redeem your Birthday Gift on clinique.com.au by making a purchase and applying your offer at checkout. You will receive notice of your birthday offer and your offer code via email if your birthday is provided in your account profile and if you have consented to receiving Smart Rewards Australia loyalty email communication. Birthday gifts must be redeemed within your birthday month. You must be logged into your Clinique Smart Rewards account to redeem your birthday gift. There is a limit of one Birthday Gift per member per year and Birthday Gifts cannot be transferred, delayed, exchanged or returned.
At certain point levels (350 points and 550 points), you are eligible to select a Free Full-Size product (in addition to any other tier benefits) from the assortment determined by us with a purchase on clinique.com.au. To redeem your points, log into your Clinique Smart Rewards account and choose one of the eligible products on your account page and add it to your bag. If you do not redeem your available points before your anniversary date, your points will expire. Product rewards are subject to availability and cannot be exchanged or returned for points, another product or a monetary refund.
Start your skin analysis by visiting the Clinical Reality diagnostic tool and follow the prompts provided. The Clinical Reality tool requires a mobile device to complete the analysis. After the completion of the analysis your account will be credited with 10 points (within 24 hours) . Loyalty members can obtain 10 points by completing a skin analysis via Clinical Reality for a maximum of 12 times per year.
Loyalty members who are completing a skin analysis via Clinical Reality in any of our retail stores will not be subject to receiving 10 points.
- Standard shipping to addresses in Australia is complimentary for all Clinique Smart Rewards members with every purchase over AU$50. You must select “Free Standard Delivery 2-5 days" at checkout and be logged into your Clinique Smart Rewards account.
- Express shipping to addresses in Australia is complimentary for Tier 3, Genius members with every purchase over AU$50. You must select “Free Express Delivery 1-2 days" at checkout and be logged into your Clinique Smart Rewards account.
From time to time, Clinique Smart Rewards members will be offered early access to shop select products before they are offered for sale to the general public. Qualifying members will receive email invitations when these offers are made available if they have consented to receiving such communications and have not chosen to opt-out of receiving Clinique Smart Rewards Loyalty Program emails. Members must login to their accounts to redeem this benefit. These offers are available for a limited time and while supplies last.
Tier benefits are valid for as long as you are in a specific tier. If you move down a tier, your benefits change accordingly.
After year one on your anniversary date, your points reset to zero, and you can start earning points benefits again. While your points reset each year on your anniversary date, your tier status is determined by the number of points you earned during the prior year of membership, regardless of how many points you redeemed. Your status in a particular tier is good for the year in which you qualify for that tier and the following full year. After that, you’ll need to earn enough points to qualify for that tier each year thereafter. For example, if you qualify for Tier 2, Brilliant, during your first year, you’ll maintain Brilliant status during your second year. But, if you earn less than 200 points on eligible purchases during your second year, you’ll drop back down to Tier 1, Smart status at the onset of your third year.
Except where prohibited by applicable law, we may cancel, modify, restrict or terminate the Clinique Smart Rewards Loyalty Program or any aspect or feature of this loyalty program from time to time.

Clinique in its sole discretion, can terminate any member for any reason including, but not limited to, any failure to comply with the Clinique Smart Rewards Terms & Conditions and/or our website Terms & Conditions, and for other reasons set out in Clinique Smart Rewards: Terms and Conditions of Participation
If your membership is terminated or expires, all points and benefits (including tier benefits) in your account will automatically terminate.
If you decide you no longer want to be a part of the Clinique Smart Rewards Loyalty Program, you may cancel your membership in the Clinique Smart Rewards Program at any time by logging in to your account on clinique.com.au and clicking on "cancel membership" which is located on “My Account” section of the site to terminate your membership of the Clinique Smart Rewards Program or contact our Customer Service team through live chat at clinique.com.au (available on Mon/Tues/Wed 9am-8pm AEST, Thurs/Fri 9am-10pm AEST, Sat/Sun 10am-10pm AEST), or via WhatsApp at +61480028627.
If you cancel your membership, you will automatically lose all accumulated points, benefits and tier status and no longer receive Program related emails.
You can update your information by visiting your account online at clinique.com.au. You have the right to access your personal information and the right to correct and/or update your personal information within your account.

No. Neither accounts nor Clinique Smart Rewards points and benefits may be transferred, shared or combined. Only the member paying for the products may accumulate points and benefits. We reserve the right to monitor the number of accounts per household and refuse, merge or close additional or duplicate accounts at any time. Your account information (including security details) are confidential and should not be shared with any other person.
We may place limits on the number of purchases or activities that are eligible for Clinique Smart Rewards and/or for points and benefits, in any given time period or for the duration of Clinique Smart Rewards, and/or any combination thereof.
